The Ramp Your Voice! blog experienced well-received responses and popularity in 2015.  This year alone, the website had a total of 29,725 views (and counting!), which is a huge jump from 9,446 views in 2014.  The website broke its record twice for the number of views in one day, with the standing record being 470 views that took place on October 20th, 2015.  These incredible numbers let’s me know that the content shared are needed and sought after by those interested in learning and understanding more about the disabled experience.

For the final blog post of 2015, I wanted to list the articles that received the most views and shares in 2015.  Some of these articles were ones that I enjoyed writing, particularly those that discussed sexuality and disability, and being of color and disabled.  Realizing that such topics are important to my readers, and those who shared similar interests in these two subject matters, was rewarding to me on so many levels.

Without further ado, here are the top 5 articles of 2015 on the RYV! blog:

5)  Unintentional Cultural Appropriation:  The Miseducation of #NoShameDay

4)  Spotlighting Influential Black Disabled Advocates for Black History Month

3)  Growing Up Disabled & Of Color:  Call to Share the Voices of Disabled People of Color in New Blog Series

2)  Makies Creates Dolls for Disabled Girls (& Disabled Women Who Still Play With Dolls):  Tools You Can Use

1)  Being Disabled, Kinky, & Into BDSM:  Exposing the Truth for National Kink Month (Part 1)

Final Thoughts

2015 was an incredible year for me as a disabled blogger, writer, and advocate.  I have met some amazing folks this year who has shown me so much love and support in what I am doing.  There are a number of things that I am planning for 2016 that has to do with the connections I made in 2015, and I am looking forward to planting the seeds and watching things bloom.

2015 was a phenomenal year, but I know that 2016 will be even better.  Bring it, 2016 – primed and ready for you!

One last thing:  Happy New Year!!!
